Adkos Battery Replacement Program
About 15% of POV's stored with Adkos will experience battery issues while in storage. When In Processing your POV please notify the local Site Manager if your battery has a warranty with it. Also, notify the Site Manager of any after market components that could possibly drain the battery between maintenance checks. Below is the Adkos 3 Step Battery Replacement Program.
1st Dead Battery
- Jump start the POV and perform the normal maintenance
- Drive the POV around the facility in a lower gear for 10-15 minutes
- Log the battery needed jumped in the Online Monitoring System
2nd Dead Battery
- Jump start the POV and perform the normal maintenance
- Remove battery and place on a charger until battery reads a full charge
- Place battery back in POV
- Log the battery needed jumped and was removed for charging in the Online Monitoring System
- Notify the customer to make them aware of what has happened with their battery and let them know our policy on replacing it the next time it happens.
3rd Dead Battery
- Jump start the POV and perform the normal maintenance
- Remove battery and take to get battery checked
- If advised the battery is dead, buy a new battery
- Place battery back in POV
- Email customer a copy of the receipt and that the battery was replaced and notify the customer that they will be billed for the actual cost of the battery
- Log this information in the Online Monitoring System
